South Shore School Montreal Area

Our German language school has been teaching German since 1986 and it mainly targets the South Shore community, but anyone who is interested in learning the German language and culture is welcome.

The school offers courses on the Kindergarten (3 to 5 years), Elementary (6 to 11 years) and High school (12 to 17 years) levels, as well as the 'Deutsches Sprachdiplom I and II' (15 to 20 years) and courses for adults.

Our classes are for everyone and we can accommodate students without any knowledge of German as well as native German speakers. Since our courses are accredited by the Ministry of Education of Québec, our secondary students receive four creditsfor each year completed.

We also offer Deutsches Sprachdiplom I and II classes. The text and exams for this course of study are selected by the Council of Education Ministers of Germany and their successful completion certifies that the students possess the requisite German language proficiency required of foreign students who wish to study at the university level in Germany.

Our classes are small for individual attention, and are taught by qualified German-speaking teachers. Students are grouped according to age and knowledge and classes are structured to incorporate traditions, folklore, music and geography of the German-speaking countries into the academic program.
